It makes for a fun night and gets repeated the next night, and the next week and the next..
A Gables wedding is something a little different, it’s like inviting your friends and family to a great old house and opening it for a very personal party. The menu is designed for you utilizing your family traditions. Our chefs are European trained and the menu will be a reflection of your tastes and style, be it pigs in blankets to foie gras en croute, your meal will be remembered as some of the finest food your guests have ever enjoyed.
The Gables has five distinct dining areas:
Weddings of 75 or more have use of the entire facility.
Our front room is dominated by a Steinway Baby Grand concert quality piano. Many brides have a band play for the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. The marble desk in the front lobby doubles as a refreshment bar and an antique mantle and fireplace complete the picture. An oak staircase leads up to our five Victorian guest suites and Library. French doors lead out to the white columned loggia covered in grapevine. The bride and groom can step out into our European style garden courtyard for cocktails, dining and dancing. There is a gazebo and a lovely fountain, lush plantings and trees; it makes a wonderful ceremony site. Many of our brides choose to tent that area and make it a gigantic dance floor.
